J-Bunny's Music Hub Episode 82: Dave Kinkade (The Monarch, ex-Soulfly, ex-Borknagar, ex-Malevolent Creation) 4-26-2024

J-Bunny sits down on Skype with Dave Kinkade, drummer and mastermind behind the band The Monarch, and former member of Malevolent Creation, Borknagar, and Soulfly, just to name a few.  J-Bunny and Dave talk about Dave's career in music, including all the bands he played with, tried out for, and toured with up until his hiatus from music in 2012.  They discuss why Dave took a hiatus, why he started playing again in 2020, and why the lineup of his band The Monarch changed between the first and second albums.  Dave explains his relationships with each of the new band members (Marc Rizzo, Marco Martell, Tony Campos, and Chris Clancy), and how each of them came to join the band.  Dave talks about how he came up with the band's logo, what a potential live show may look like, the concept behind the band's music, as well as Dave's fear of centipedes.
